Notes:

The Arroyo Sanatorium is located South of Livermore on Arroyo Road. It was a hospital that specialized in the treatment of patients with tuberculosis. The main treatment at the time was rest and fresh air. Constuction of the Sanatorium began in 1916. A separate hospitial, called the Del Valle Farm (or Ranch), was built next to the Sanatorium in 1922 to treat children with tuberculosis. Del Valle Farm was consolidated with Arroyo Sanatorium in 1938. The Sanatorium closed in 1960.
