Picture of Livermore High School, in the 1930s

Picture 1
The main building was built in 1930. It originally had a brick exterior. The spanish-style (steel reinforced concrete) exterior was added in the late 1930s. If you can date this picture more exactly, please write to me. The left of the two buildings behind the main building was the gym and later became the music building. It was built 1923--1925 at the site of the old Livermore High School (where the Recreation Center is today) and moved to this site in 1930. According to the Livermore Heritage Guild's 2001 calendar, E. J. Lawless was a local druggist and amateur photographer who published photographs like this one on postcards from 1917 through the 1930s. This picture was auctioned on ebay and I thank the seller for sending me a scan.
